Ok... so I'm just a LITTLE excited today... two of my favorite authors--Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti-- are teaming up to write a book AND it just happens to come out near my birthday! woohoo!! It's called House...
"In rural Alabama, two couples find themselves in a fight for survival. Running from a maniac bent on killing them, they flee deep into the woods and seek refuge in a house. They soon realize the killer has purposely lured them to this house and that they are now trapped. As they huddle around an old fireplace, a tin can falls through the chimney. Scrawled on its side is a message from the killer, establishing his House Rules. The rules call for their deaths unless they kill at least one of the four.
They have less than 12 hours to find a way to survive. At sunrise the game is over and everyone dies if the killer's demands aren't met. What they quickly learn is that the only way out . . . is in. But going further into this house--where unknown challenges await them--is equally deadly."
For any of you who are looking for a very interesting, well written, on the edge of your seat book-- I would highly suggest checking out any book written by Ted Dekker. Three, Blink and the Circle Trilogy(starting with the book Black) are a few of my favorites. I got really into this author a few years ago and have yet to be dissapointed by any of his books-- infact I like them enough that I personaly own about half of them-- and for me that is amazing since I don't usually buy a book unless I REALLY like it (to "feed" my book hunger I have my wonderful local library) I love books that can grab you and wisk you away to another place....
I could rant on and on... but really... you need to check these books out yourself.. and then tell me what you think.
PS- if you aren't a big reader-- I know that Ted Dekker's book Three is currently being made into a film, although honestly I'm not sure how great it is because most of the time when these sort of amazing book to movies come out I am let down... but I guess only time will tell.
